At the most recent open Board meeting, the Board approved a tree replacement grace period of 12 months for homeowners whose London Plane trees have died. We ask that homeowners remove any dead London Plane trees from their property, but replacing them will not be required until June 2024. If your London Plane tree is healthy, please continue to care for it and keep it healthy. Homeowners should not remove healthy trees.

If your London Plane tree looks sick or is withering, we kindly ask that you continue to care for the tree. Consider consulting with an arborist for a treatment plan to bring your tree back to health.

This grace period is applicable only to London Plane trees. If you have a tree of a different species and have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Daybreak Community Association.
